Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Go With Me ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the App.
Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide or create in the App:
- Account information, such as email address, login credentials, authentication state, and account identifiers.
- Profile information, such as name, age, gender, city, interests, profile photo, and avatar URL.
- Event information, such as event title, category, place name, event date and time, purpose, vibe, participant capacity, event photo, map coordinates, and event status.
- Participation information, such as events you create, events you join, attendees, and related conversation metadata.
- User content, such as messages, photos, profile details, and event descriptions that you choose to submit.
- Technical information needed to operate the App, such as device/app identifiers, logs, authentication tokens, network request metadata, and crash or diagnostic data if crash reporting is enabled.
The App lets users select locations on a map for events. The current implementation does not request continuous device location tracking. If future versions request precise device location, this policy and store privacy labels should be updated before release.
How We Use Information
- To create, authenticate, and maintain user accounts.
- To display profiles, events, maps, attendees, and joined events.
- To let users create events, join events, and communicate about events.
- To upload, store, and display profile and event photos.
- To keep the App secure, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To troubleshoot bugs, monitor reliability, and improve App performance.
- To respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
Storage and Service Providers
The App uses Firebase services for backend functionality, including authentication, database, and file storage. User data may be stored in Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage.
The App also uses Google Maps for map display and location selection. Google may process technical data according to Google's own policies when maps are loaded.
If analytics or crash reporting tools are enabled in a release build, their provider names, purposes, and data categories should be added here before publishing.
Sharing
We do not sell user personal information.
Some information is visible to other users as part of the App experience, including public profile details, event details, event photos, host information, attendees, and joined-event status where shown in the App.
We may share information with service providers that operate the App, such as Firebase and Google services, only as needed to provide hosting, authentication, storage, maps, security, diagnostics, and support.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or to enforce our Terms.
Photos and Media
The App asks for access to selected photos so you can add a profile photo or event photo. We upload selected images to the storage provider and use them in the App. The App does not need camera or microphone access for its current functionality.
Safety and Age
The App is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Users are responsible for deciding whether to attend offline meetings and should use reasonable caution when meeting other people.
We may remove content or accounts that appear unsafe, illegal, abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of our Terms.
Account and Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting support@go-with-me.com. Please include the email address linked to your account.
We may need to retain limited information where required by law, for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our Terms.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
International Processing
Your information may be processed and stored in countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from your country.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
